Abstract

The aim of the review is to identify maternal perception in terms of newborns with a diagnosis of congenital malformation, hospitalized in the intensive care unit. According research, mothers require a more humane caring approach at the time of disclosure, since this is a negative experience in the family environment. It contains approaches to minimize the negative emotions of the mothers and, therefore, the undesirable consequences for newborns with congenital malformations.
