Abstract

Global health diplomacy is unprecedentedly important in today's reality, as many pandemics and diseases are still an important challenge for the world. The purpose of the study is to determine the role of the organization in global health diplomacy by studying the specific steps and policies of the European Union. Specific policies/steps of the European Union were analyzed through the qualitative research method case-study. The study shows that the EU's involvement and contribution to global health issues has increased significantly over time. To date, the European Union has developed more than one global health strategy and actively cooperates with the United Nations and other international organizations in order to regulate health issues in the world and coordinate actions in this regard. It is an important partner in almost all health issues and a significant contributor to global health, both politically, economically and financially.
