Abstract

World Health Organization underlines the importance of public opinion in regard to the quality of health care and innovative ideas in health care. Studies are conducted in European countries by the European Commission in a regular manner in order to have a better understanding about the public attitude and opinion towards science, technologies and innovation. Our aim is to study population’s attitude towards science, technologies and innovation. We have conducted the pilot study in area of Health and Medical Care. Methodology. For our study we have used quantitative methods. Respondents were selected randomly. We have used specially elaborated and structured questionnaire for this particular study. Results and discussion. The majority of the respondents are having a positive attitude towards science, technology and innovation in Health and Medical Care field. According to the majority of respondents they are giving priority to the positive potential of the technologies and science in Health and Medical Care compared to the human actions and behaviors and its affect’s grade. Conclusion. The research revealed that the level of Information about new discoveries in Health and Medical Care among respondents is low, however generally the respondents have positive attitudes towards science, technology and innovation. It is important to conduct a large-scale survey in order to explore the public attitude of Georgian population towards science, technology and innovation more in detail.
