Informed Consent about a Surgical Intervention

Introduction: patients' rights issues are becoming increasingly important and is becoming a priority. Legal regulations related to the creation of the fundamental principles of medical ethics, where the main focus is on the "informed consent" issue. The study is designed to determine by how much the patient is aware of the surgery performed by a doctor provided informed consent. Methodology: The quantitative part of the study, semi questionnaire, a survey was carried out in surgical patients. Results, Discussion: The majority of patients are properly informed about the diagnosis and treatment of disease, needs surgery, surgical treatment alternatives on the benefits and risks. However, some of the patients would only partly. Recommendation: Patients need to transfer data more attention to their awareness raising. It is recommended to conduct training with the medical staff, who are directly responsible for the patients' awareness.
